Sultry Summer Wrap Up

As we slowly enter the fall season hopefully summer ripened produce is still finding a place at your table. This month we hope to bring you some delicious recipes and nourishing products to keep the home cooked meals flowing efffortlessly.

we hope to add a little kick to your regular salad routine, inspire some heat in your grilling marinades and perhaps add a spicy mystery ingredient to your mixed beverages

Jalapeño Infused Olive Oil

This spicy oil is begging to top your next taco salad, creamy oil meets a kick of spice and delicious green pepper flavor.

The smell and taste of fresh sliced jalapeños emits from this delightful oil gracing the pallet with a bit of heat. Recipe ideas include creative bloody Marias (that's a tequila bloody), fish tacos, and spicy sweet grilled pineapple salsa to name a few.

Garlic Balsamic Vinegar

This tangy sweet white vinegar has a thick body and the alluring hint of caramelized garlic.

This vinegar is more sweet than it is savory, a delicious addition to dressings and marinades while saving you the labor of processing fresh garlic. The question is what recipe won't we find it in? Delicious in a bruschetta topping, delightful in the aforementioned bloody Maria, or as an easy topper to avocado toast. As usual, the list of possibilities are endless

Spicy Bloody Maria

In a cocktail shaker mix well


Rim glass with a mix of 1/2 tsp. Smoked Hot Paprika & Chili Lime Gourmet Sea Salt
Shake over ice, strain and pour, garnish with lime (optional)

Feisty Frittata

Add
  • 1/2 chopped shallot, sauté 1 min
Add
  • 1/2 chopped red bell, stir and cook 5 min 
Stir in
  • 1 cup chopped curly kale
Meanwhile
  • Scramble 5 eggs with 2 tbs cream
Pour in evenly and cover, reduce heat to low for 8 minutes or until cooked
Top with chopped cilantro, fresh tomato, cotija, crema and drizzle with 1/2 tbs Garlic Balsamic and a pinch of Smoked Hot Paprika
Serve with warm tortillas optional

Smoked Hot Paprika


Smoky subtle spice characterizes this gorgeous addition to rubs and marinade. A Spanish Paprika that has been smoked the traditional way. Freshly harvested ripe red pimento peppers are dried in low-lying, adobe smoke houses that are heated by smoking grills fired with slow-burning oak planks (this is also known as cold smoked). Next it is on to a repeated grinding between stones which results in its signature silky smooth texture.
Now, don’t think of this as a “burn your face off” type of heat like you might get with some chilies. This is  a seductive heat that draws you in. Its characteristic dark red color spreads evenly throughout any dish.
