Dreamy Dressing Sampler

Making fantastic Salad Dressings is so much easier when you start with top quality ingredients with fantastic flavor profiles. These two Olive Oils and Balsamic Vinegars can be matched with each other or with unflavored Oils or Vinegars for a wide variety of outcomes. They will taste different depending on the ingredients of the salads, too. As always, add seasonings, mustard or mayonnaise to change or influence the flavor or texture.

The 4 Bottle Specifics

Basil Infused Olive Oil
Meyer Lemon Fused Olive Oil
Mission Fig Infused Aged Balsamic Vinegar
Pear Apple Infused Aged Balsamic Vinegar

Salad Dressing Ratio 1 or 2 parts Vinegar (to your taste) to 2 Parts Olive Oil

In pairings with other flavored olive oils or vinegars look for complimentary or contrasting pairing. Pair sweet flavors with earthy flavors (like Mushroom or Garlic) or herbaceous flavors (like Basil, Lavender or Rosemary) or consider some heat (like Sriracha, Chipotle or Jalepeño).

These flavors can influence all kinds of foods in different ways. Because the flavors are already dispersed in the olive oil or balsamic vinegar, the flavor will be tasted along with the other flavor of the ingredients, and not as a stand-alone flavor. Your experiences with these flavors and what combinations they can enhance is largely unique to your taste buds. Our ongoing recommendation is to try them drizzled on food for a final burst of added flavor. Try them embedded in the recipes or preparations to cook them or mix them into the variety of flavors in the dish. And try them in places you might not expect like desserts or drinks. If you like the flavor, there are many, many ways to include it in your overall cooking. Experimenting is not only allowed, it is highly encouraged!
