Subtle almond or nutty nuances add to the layers of flavor, creating a well-balanced and versatile olive oil suitable for a variety of culinary applications.

Uses

Robust Extra Virgin Olive Oils are great for salads, heavier sauces, grilled meats, rustic dishes, pastas, risottos, and bruschetta as well.

About the ranch

Ken and Moira are 2 retired scientists that bought a beautiful piece of land in Lincoln, CA. The property has about 100 olive trees, all of them the Mission varietal. They lovingly and organically brought them back to
life. They officially fell in love with the magic of the olive trees and created Turtel Creek Ranch so they could share their oil with family and friends, and now all of you. This is now their 3rd year producing olive oil. We are thrilled to have this olive oil from only 35 miles away!

About the Mission Olive tree

The Mission olive trees were the first olives to be established in America, having been brought in from Mexico in 1769 and planted at the Catholic Mission in San Diego, CA, Mission San Diego de Alcala. All the Mission olives grown today in California are derived from that tree at the Franciscan mission in San Diego, California. This variety was said to cover California from one end to the other, but most of the modern Mission olive tree orchards remain in Northern California.
