Tangy Green Beans with Toasted Almonds

Tangy Green Beans with Toasted Almonds

Fresh Green Beans are one of my favorite side dishes. They are so easy to enhance with flavor. This simple recipe is sweet, tangy and delicious.

Blood Orange Olive Oil
Lambrusco Wine Vinegar
Onion Himalayan Salt

Ingredients

1½ lbs Fresh Green Beans, trimmed
Sliced Almonds
1 Tbsp Blood Orange OO
1 Tbsp Lambrusco Wine Vinegar

Preparation

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, add green beans, and cook until bright green but still firm, about 3-4 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat the Blood Orange Olive Oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium heat (or a large sauté pan). add the sliced almonds and toast them until golden brown, about 5-6 minutes. Set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the green beans. Season with Onion Himalayan Sea salt and fresh ground pepper. Continue cooking until the green beans become fork tender but are still crisp, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Transfer the green beans to a large serving platter and drizzle the Lambrusco Vinegar on top.
  5. Add the toasted almonds on top.
